Diagnostic Imaging

Digital X-Ray:

Digital technology is a welcome incremental advancement in dental radiography. The combination of dental digital radiography and the Internet makes it possible to send images to anyone, anywhere in the world.

The transmission of x-ray images allows practitioners to submit insurance claims electronically, to forward patients’ x-rays to a specialist on the other side of town or across the country, and to obtain specialty consultations from experts wherever they may be.

A significant advantage of digital x-ray is having instant, or nearly instant, images that are archivable and retrievable at the press of a button or click of a mouse, all without the mess and bother of a darkroom.

The digital method also saves time for dentists who need to make several X-rays. Photos are easy to re-take and patients no longer have to wait for the film to develop. The X-rays are easily printed, duplicated, and sent to insurance companies that demand them.

IntegriTech has installed and has expert experience with Dexis, Schick, Kodak, Gendex, Planmecca, Dentimax, Sunni and many other manufacturers.  IntegriTech can integrate your current or future digital pan or x-ray sensors into any infrastructure.

Intraoral Camera:

Intraoral cameras, which can be used in conjunction with a computer or with a television monitor, take a picture of the outside of the tooth.

This is especially beneficial for patients who may be suspicious or resentful of recommendations their dentists give them, especially if they don't feel any immediate pain.

If the patient can see that their tooth is fractured on a computer monitor, chances are you're going to fix it before you need more serious work.

This decision assisting tool for patients not only helps to prevent future pain for the patient but also helps the doctor to increase his production by having the patient make a educated and informed decision quickly on their treatment. No longer does the patient wait for pain but will more often choose a preventative procedure.
